We took part in the Katazome (Japanese Stencil Painting) class with Kitamura san.  Kitamura san's stencils art are fun and beautiful, especially the Japanese monsters - You kai series.  I have always struggled with painting but I managed to walk away with a furishiki that I am proud of after the class.  Kitamura san also shared a lot about her personal experience in creating the arts and stories behind them.  Fred who helped translate during the class was also very helpful.I would highly recommend taking this class to immerse in Kanazawa arts experience!

My wife and I had an absolutely stellar time in with the private Kaga Yuzen dyeing class. Cannot recommend highly enough. My wife is a very artistic lady; I appreciate art but I am nowhere near as skilled as she is😅. I still had a fantastic time doing the class. We both agreed that it was probably the highlight of our trip. All of the staff was very kind and personable, and we were provided a translator to help ensure we had a great experience. I enjoyed the conversation as much as I did the Kaga Yuzen dyeing! They even recommended a fantastic small restaurant to go eat at while our art was finished. Ai Inoue is an extremely talented artist. She explained to my wife about some of the more technical aspects of her art and it was a real joy getting to see how she skillfully she used her gradients and decalcomania techniques. She also gave us wonderful insights on the cultural heritage of Kaga Yuzen as well as the differences between it and other styles. Inoue-san's works revolve around the "Beginnings of Life" and we loved her art so much we bought another additional piece of hers to bring home with us on top of the workshop art. Next time we return to Kanazawa we will absolutely be booking more classes at Unveil. We had a wonderful morning creating in their yuzen dyeing workshop. The artist leading the workshop, Ai Inoue, is a master of her craft but is also a friendly teacher who is willing to help beginners like us! They provided a translator, Friend (also a lovely person), who helped us communicate. As an added bonus, they finished and set the work and also framed one and made a cute bow with the other. I would do this again in a heartbeat. My partner also enjoyed the morning, although art workshops are not always his cup of tea. Thank you unveil!

Me and group of my friend had great experience here. We optet for sushi roll and inary sushi preparation. Unveil prepared filing for us and desribed to us how to make sushi roll from them. Than we could made three diferent rolls which we also then eat and shared between us. We also appreciate chat with lecturers.
