Hands-on Experience Facility: unveil

We created unveil with the goal of offering a cozy venue where locals from Ishikawa can meet and interact with international travelers, for joyful moments and heart-to-heart connections that transcend borders. Rather than grand, luxurious gestures, we aim to facilitate intimate, memorable human experiences, like hands-on workshops with up-and-coming craft artisans, or Japanese home cooking lessons led by friendly and experienced home cooks.

There are no celebrities to be found here. No one to get a selfie with to post online, to make your friends green with envy. Just local people sharing their everyday lives, in the own words, for authentic encounters with the real Japan that you won’t find in textbooks or guidebooks.

We hope to be the bridge connecting cultures, giving the people of Ishikawa a chance to share their beloved home, while offering visitors a chance to peek behind the curtain and see a side of Japan that most tourists never encounter. Many of our guests do ask for photos together with the people they met, but not to show off to others — rather, as a truly cherished personal memento for themselves.
